Spain’s best-known resorts lie along the mainland coast. The Costa del Sol is deservedly famous, but other stretches of coast also have great resorts. The Balearic Islands of Majorca and Minorca are lovely and have excellent holiday facilities, while Ibiza is famous for its nightlife. Finally, the Canary Islands are significantly further south, making them very popular for winter holidays.
